Asu Point Camp

Asu Point Surf Camp is located directly in front of the left hander on Asu. You will have the best view of the wave from your bungalow.

Asu Island is located in the Hinako Islands just off the coast of Nias. Nias Island is a wave rich island in Northern Sumatra. Nias is one of Sumatra’s offshore islands. The Hinako Islands receive the biggest and most consistent swell in the region. The left on Asu works from 3′ – up. Many boat charters visit Asu and Bawa. Bawa Island is also in the Hinako Island Group and has a big right. Offshore or no wind are the prevailing conditions on Asu. For the days when Asu is on shore Bawa is offshore. This set up virtually guarantees customers good waves. Glassy conditions are the norm.

Asu Island has turquoise blue water and pristine white sand beaches.  On the rare days when there is no swell Asu has epic fishing.

Lagundri Bay, Afulu, and sevel other secret spots are easily accessible from Asu. Plan on a high wave count.
